ABOUT WHAT WE DO

keep-calm-you-re-a-fabulous-teacher.png

As teachers in the UK, we are always busy and pushed for time to come up with the idea and create a resource for a lesson which hands the learning over to the students in a succinct manner, especially in between all the roles we take on in our everyday school life! Well, I am here to help you!

On this website you can find a wide variety of easy to use resources for the English Literature GCSE. Choose the text  you are studying with your students, choose a category and find the resource you need. I have covered a wide variety of themes, characters and skills. I know you don't have much time, therefore I have logically organised this website, so you can quickly access the resource you need. I am always adding to my site so please keep checking, as I build up this library of resources.

I have also added a news page in which I have added book recommendations and links to any recent articles regarding education which may also be interesting.  We rarely have time to trawl through the internet looking for articles which interest us and personally on the weekend I like to have a break from all things educational!  Never fear, I have done the work for you so you can keep up to date with what is going on in the educational world whilst being a fabulous teacher!

I am an English secondary school teacher with over five years inner London experience.  Making resources and designing lessons is one of my favourite parts of being a teacher and here I am putting it to good use!

I believe it is so important that the students speak more than we do in the classroom (in a good way!) and they begin to lead their learning whilst you facilitate and guide them on their way,  I love group work, pair work and the students learning from each other rather than listen to me drone on!

I create resources which enable students to learn from each other, teach each other and work together to complete the learning for that lesson.  It is our job to lead them to those lightbulb moments through questioning and hopefully these resources can help to aid this process.

See the 'Contact us' section and please follow me on Facebook and Instagram for ideas, inspiration or just the ponderings of an English teacher!
